Explicit vs implicit Explicit: the workbook section directly teaches the standard's skill (e.g. a Common-and-Proper-Nouns chapter for CCSS.L.1.1.B). Implicit: the content addresses the standard incidentally or through application (e.g. a writing prompt that exercises end-punctuation). The default "Any" view counts both. "Explicit only" is the stricter view buyers and reviewers typically want to see.
